After Wedding Shoot

Nadine & Thomas

This shoot was a really special one to me. Thomas is my very first nephew so you can imagine how excited I was for his and Nadine’s wedding day to finally be here. It was going to be THE DAY OF THE YEAR. Then May 15th came and the whole world was stuck inside… in the middle of the pandemic. I was in Ireland, in Lockdown. In Germany weddings could only go ahead with 5 people present. This meant to them to postpone getting married or go ahead with only their witnesses present. And that’s what they did. They married on May 15th 2020. Such a wonderful thing for them but bittersweet for us as a family. I am so endlessly happy for them but I still get chills and tear up a little thinking back because how much would I have loved to photograph and especially to be there watching the two of them finally saying “YES”.

On their Special Day they agreed to participate in my Lockdown 2020 Portraits and let me take their virtual portrait which I was so happy about to have at least that of them.

As the restrictions here in Ireland eased and I was allowed to travel, I made my way to Germany to see my family.

During my time there, we did something amazing. Nadine and Thomas and some of their vendors agreed to a styled shoot. Their lovely florist Eveline and Makeup artist Nina participated in our venture. To top it all off my best friend Jenny, my multitalented angel made an amazing cake for our shoot.

So on the day, Nadine and Thomas popped into their wedding outfits again, got glammed and the results of our shoot you can see below.

We had an amazing afternoon full of creativity and fun. I am so grateful for everyone who was a part of it and I can not wait to work with each of them again.

A romantic Wedding in Northbrook Park

It was a beautiful day in Farnham. The very first Jewish Wedding I had the honour to document. WOOOW… was it amazing. I knew about the traditions which would be taking place during the day but I never would have thought I’d be caught into the emotions as I did. The beautiful prayers, the fun filled dancing and the warm, welcoming atmosphere in the room is something I will never forget. Bobbie and Simon are so in love and they made me fall in love with Jewish Weddings and their traditions.
